THE MANE FRAME

OUR COMPLETE SALES POLICY

All rabbits listed for sale will be
suitable for the purpose of breeding
or pet at the time of sale, with the
exception of very young juniors
who may not yet fit allowable show
criteria as described in the current
ARBA approved Working Standard
for the  breed.  Brood ONLY stock
will be noted as such on the sale
listing.   All THE MANE FRAME sale
animals are warranted to be free
from disease,  diarrhea, or any sort
of nasal, vent or eye discharge at
the point of sale.

All rabbits are sold "as is"  and the
buyer (or buyer's appointed agent)
must inspect the rabbit at the time
of pickup before the Sale is
Finalized. The Sale is Finalized
when the animal is paid for in full
and the buyer (or buyer's appointed
agent) has taken possession of it.

Once the Sale has Finalized, the
rabbit is the 100% Real Property of
the Buyer and CANNOT be
guaranteed in any way, shape or
form by THE MANE FRAME from
that moment on and into the future.

(Please take the time to read this
entire page to understand why we
have taken this rigid stance with
regard to the sale of our stock.)

In the unlikely event that a problem
should arise with your new
purchase, THE MANE FRAME
reserves the right to waive our
terms and conditions as set forth
herein at our discretion; however,
waiver of any of these terms and
conditions by THE MANE FRAME
for one party does NOT constitute
any future waiver of terms and
conditions for any other parties. In
other words, we may make
exceptions to our rules in certain
circumstances, but this does not
mean we are setting any precedent
by doing so.  This gives us the
freedom to handle any problems
that arise on a case-by-case basis
as we so choose.

We believe we are honest in our
pricing on these rabbits. We
reserve the right to refuse to sell to
anyone or to cancel a sale for any
reason.  All show/brood quality
rabbits will come with a complete 3
generation pedigree.

Obviously, we cannot keep every
rabbit we produce, but we only
offer for sale select hand-picked
specimens that exhibit desirable
qualities or traits. It is extremely
important to us that any Rabbit we
sell be suitable for breeding and/or
showing, or pet and be an asset to
the breed.  We have a separate
outlet for our "culls", Most rabbits
go to freezer camp if it is not
something I would keep myself I
will not sell it to anyone. and would
never offer for sale a rabbit that we
would consider a "cull".  Pet quality
rabbit may be sold locally, but
these type of sales are done on a
strictly limited basis. We feel that it
is not beneficial to the breed to
perpetuate inferior or "pet" quality
Rabbits.  For this reason, we truly
put a tremendous amount of
selection and thought into each
breeding we do here at THE MANE
FRAME.
When rabbits do come available for
sale, they will be sold on a "first
come, first served" basis.

ALL RABBITS OFFERED FOR SALE
HAVE ALREADY BEEN NAMED
AND TATTOOED AND ENTERED IN
OUR DATABASE.  ON OUR
UN-PROVEN JUNIOR STOCK, YOU
MAY REQUEST A DIFFERENT
NAME FOR THE RABBIT PRIOR TO
PICKUP.   UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES WILL IT BE
ACCEPTABLE TO CHANGE THE
RABBITS' NAME OR ALTER ITS'
PEDIGREE (EXCEPT TO ADD SR.
WEIGHT OR EAR LENGTH) ONCE
IT LEAVES OUR RABBITRY
WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION
FROM THE MANE FRAME. WE
WORK HARD TO BREED RABBITS
THAT ARE A BENEFIT TO THE
BREED, AND OUR PRODUCED
STOCK HAS EARNED THE "MANE
FRAME" PREFIX. CHANGING OR
REMOVING THE "MANE FRAME"
PREFIX FROM ANY RABBIT
PRODUCED HERE IS CONSIDERED
AN UNETHICAL, DEVIOUS ACT
THAT IS INTENDED TO DECEIVE
OR MISLEAD OTHERS.  ANY
RABBITS SOLD BY THE MANE
FRAME THAT HAVE NOT BEEN
PRODUCED HERE WILL CARRY
THE PREFIX AND NAME EXACTLY
AS GIVEN TO THEM BY THEIR
BREEDERS, AND WE ASK THAT
YOU RESPECT THAT BREEDER AS
WELL, AND NOT ALTER THE
RABBIT'S NAME IN ANY WAY,
SHAPE OR FORM WITHOUT FIRST
CONTACTING THE ORIGINAL
BREEDER FOR PERMISSION.

Once an inquiry is made on a
rabbit, the rabbit will be considered
"pending" awaiting receipt of
deposit.  Feel free to inquire about
sale rabbits that are "pending", as
sometimes sales fall through.  We
gladly accept backup inquiries.  At
the time of inquiry on one of our
rabbits, please let us know if you
would like your sales transaction
kept private, as we will typically
post your name on our sale page as
purchaser.  We respect an
individuals' right to privacy, and we
will act at your directive. We would
love for people to know who is
taking home our bunnies, but we
understand that not everyone is
comfortable with publicizing their
private transactions.

A non-refundable deposit equal to
at least 50% of the sale price is
required to hold the rabbit until
pickup. Pickup date must be within
two weeks from deposit place on
animal  to THE MANE FRAME'S
acceptance of a deposit.  We
accept Cash, Cashiers Check,
Western Union or PayPal (our
PayPal account is
themaneframe@yahoo.com).  (*You
must include an additional 5%
convenience fee per rabbit for each
PayPal transaction.*) If a deposit is
not received (or other deposit
arrangements agreed upon) within
5 days of your first inquiry about
the rabbit you wish to purchase,
the rabbit will be released from
"pending" status and again be
listed for sale.  Any backup
inquiries on that rabbit will be
contacted in the order received.
Once the deposit is received, the
rabbit  will be listed as a "HOLD".
Rabbits that are paid in full are
listed as "SOLD".
The balance owed on the rabbit
must be paid in full at or before the
pre-arranged pickup time.
Payments made at the time of
pickup MUST be made in CASH
only.  Failure to be able to pay in full
at the time of delivery or failure to
pick up the rabbits at the appointed
time will result in cancellation of
the sale and forfeiture of the
deposit.  We will NOT hold rabbits
beyond their appointed pickup date
for any reason, and they will be
returned to our for sale listing.
We ship rabbits.  We do not deliver
rabbits, although we will gladly
bring the rabbits to a local show or
National event that we are
attending at an extra charge.  Buyer
is responsible for all arrangements
and expenses related to pickup.
Rabbits that are not picked up as
arranged are released for sale to
others and the deposit forfeited.
Once you have taken possession of
your new rabbit, we offer NO CASH
REFUNDS for any reason.   If, at the
time of pickup, we examine the
rabbit along with the buyer/buyer's
agent and find an obvious defect,
or the rabbit exhibits signs of
illness, any other rabbits we have
for sale may be offered in instead at
our discretion, if the buyer desires.

We make every effort to keep our
animals clean, healthy, well
groomed, and disease & genetic
defect free.  We selectvely breed
for good temperament and sound,
hardy animals.   Rabbits have the
tendency to hide or mask illness
very well--they can be acting
completely normal one day, and be
inexplicably dead in their cage on
the next.   Because we operate
using good animal husbandry
practices and follow high
standards for cleanliness, we find it
extremely rare for our stock to
experience illness or death.  We
are proud to provide a safe, clean
living environment for our rabbits.
They are raised in  cages. Their
droppings are removed from the
cage several times per week. Their
feeder and water dishes are
dishwasher cleaned weekly.  We
use lights in the rabbitry that
produce sunlight. We use top
quality feeds, and provide oatmeal
and alfalfa cubes, and black oiled
sunflower seeds to them regularly.
We attend very few shows per year,
which limits our stock's exposure
to other animals and possible
communicable illnesses sometimes
found at shows.   We do not usually
bring sale animals to shows we are
attending unless someone has
made a commitment to purchase
them for just this reason.  When
our rabbits are taken off the
premises, we have adopted the
practice of using bleach liberally as
a preventative disinfectant.
However...the moment an animal
leaves our rabbitry, we cannot
control how it is cared for, housed
or handled by the new owners. Nor
can we predict how a judge will
evaluate it on a show table (every
judge's opinion is different and
every one has their own
interpretation of the
breed standard).  We also cannot
foresee whether the rabbit will be
able to be a successful breeder, or
whether it will develop undesirable
traits in the future.  Rabbits are
fragile creatures, and injuries like
broken teeth, white spots due to
cuts or abrasions, broken toes or
toenails can happen very easily and
without any forewarning.
Sometimes things develop and
occur beyond anyone's control as a
rabbit ages, during breeding, or
after does pull fur, such as
darkening of coat in shaded
animals, smut or ticking in tort or
orange colored animals, and stray
white hairs in colored areas.
Animals can also lose and gain
weight for a variety of reasons. We
worm our rabbits 4 times a year to
keep them healthy.  Some Rabbits
develop the tendency to chew their
hair.  We can not guarantee that
your Lionhead will keep a mane its
entire life. We strive and breed for
Lionheads that genetically will keep
manes, however, many other
outside influences can affect the
mane, such as grooming, diet and
living conditions.
If you can no longer keep a rabbit
that you purchased from us, and
wish to surrender it back to us, we
will take it back at no charge to
you.  We do not buy back rabbits
that we have sold, but we would be
happy to help you place a rabbit
that you can no longer keep for
whatever reason.
Lastly, keep in mind that you are
purchasing a rabbit from a
photograph on a web page--so let
the buyer beware as the saying
goes--what you see may sometimes
not always be exactly what you
think you are getting (that goes for
any internet transaction).  The best
way to avoid disappointment or
misunderstanding is to come visit
our rabbitry and put your hands on
our sale animals before you buy.
Everyone is more than welcome to
make an appointment to come to
our rabbitry to look at the bunnies
we have offered for sale prior to
making any purchase.
Once you have made a commitment
to purchase from us, we cannot
refund your money if you decide
that you no longer want the rabbit,
or if you find a similar rabbit offered
for sale by another breeder and
would rather have that one, or if
you simply change your mind.

We price each animal based on
what we believe is a price the
average person can afford, we are
not looking for high prices just got
homes.   We make every effort to
list our sale rabbits with a current
photo that accurately portrays the
animals' appearance.  No photos on
our website have been altered,
retouched or modified in any way,
(except cropping for size), and we
are definitely not professional
photographers. We cannot control
how a rabbit develops or changes
from the time their sale photo is
taken until the time of delivery.  We
will be most happy to give you our
honest evaluation and detailed
opinion of any sale bunny we offer
upon request.  Our intent is to sell
stock that is an asset to the
breed, and will help fellow breeders
progress in their quest toward the
perfect Rabbit.

We have been involved in raising
rabbits for well over 24 years, and
have never had to institute a
written sales policy until now, and
have never had an unsatisfied
customer.  However, in this
litigious age, we felt it necessary to
adopt a strict "no-guarantee" sales
policy to avoid dealing with anyone
who is not as honest or fair in their
dealings as we are.  Our main goal
is the success of the Breed as a
whole.  We want you to be satisifed
with your new purchase and feel
happy and proud to have an "THE
MANE FRAME" as a welcome and
positive addition to your herd,
which is why we carefully select
the stock that we sell.  We are
proud to do our part to advance
this remarkable breed, and we hope
you enjoy our little Rabbits as much
as we do. Quality should not mean
huge price tag, it should mean a
rabbit that a family can be proud of
and can afford to buy Quality
without a huge price.
